The Washington State Department of Health’s (DOH) Washington Tracking Network (WTN) is launching the inaugural Washington Tracking Network Youth Science Contest. The WTN Youth Science Contest provides an opportunity for high school students across Washington to develop their science and communication skills while working with health and environmental data from their own communities.

CADCA has spaces available for their upcoming National Coalition Academies, and they are hosting it in-person in Bellevue. Attendance may be either in-person or virtual, and the first sessions start in March.

The NFF surveyed families last year in an effort to understand the challenges they were facing during COVID. Their answers provided critical information about how the pandemic was affecting them and their children in terms of academic progress, mental and behavioral health, and more and spawned a two-part webinar series by SAMHSA.

The King County Department of Community and Human Services’ Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (DCHS/ BHRD) used a Washington State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant for project designed to ensure language access to opioid prevention materials. The end result was the translation of the Stop Opioid Overdose brochure and Starts With One campaign materials into 22 different languages. An overview of this project is attached.
