The Region 10 Opioid Summit Planning Committee invites you to submit a workshop proposal to present at the 2022 Opioid Summit. Workshop proposals should fit into one of the highlighted topics, and address the conference theme, We are the Foundation: Improving the Workforce Pillars for Opioid Prevention, Treatment, Recovery, and Intervention.

What: Across CPWI coalitions, depending on the community’s cohort and fund source(s), there are different timelines within the contract including when Strategic Planning updates are due. As discussed at the March Learning Community Meeting, over the next year, we will be seeking to provide a more consistent timeline across all cohorts that also follows a standard contracting term whenever possible. The NPN Conference Planning Committee invites you to submit a workshop proposal to present at the 2022 NPN Conference. Workshop proposals should fit into one of seven (7) possible topics, and address the conference theme, The Power of HOPE: Healthy Opportunities for Prevention to Empower Change.

Highlighted topics:

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), and Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) are co-sponsoring the “Speaking Up About Mental Health! This Is My Story” national essay challenge. Cash prizes will be awarded.

The Cowlitz Tribe Healing of the Canoe hosts their first-ever Tribal Wellness and Resilience Gathering May 16-18, 2022. It is sponsored by the Department of Health (DOH), and Healthcare Authority (HCA), so registrants will attend for free! The focus is on learning and teaching those that work with youth to build resiliency through self-care, healing, and wellness techniques. HCA's Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery has identified funding to provide financial support for prevention partners to attend one or both of these conferences:

You are invited to share your feedback on The Washington State Healthy Youth Survey. Biennial partner meetings are scheduled for mid May-June and will provide an opportunity for feedback on 2023 survey questions.

Partner feedback meetings will be held online via Zoom. Registration is required. A detailed agenda and materials will be distributed one week prior to the meetings. The agenda will be identical for both dates, so you do not need to attend both meetings.
