DBHR is planning another series of New Coordinator Basic Training (NCBT) in March 2023.  All new CPWI coalition coordinators, who have not attended a previous NCBT series are strongly encouraged to attend.  New CPWI coalition coordinators are the priority audience for the series. CBO staff and Tribal Partners are welcome to attend if space is available.  Please email your request to attend to your Prevention Manager.

Northwest High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) launched its new, competitive prevention and treatment request for proposals (RFP) on January 18, 2023! The prevention and treatment proposal templates are attached.

The Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking (STOP) Act Notice of Funding Opportunity Announcement (NOFO) was recently released. Applications are due by Friday, March 3, 2023.

The anticipated award amount is $60,000 annually for 4 years. This is an increase of $10,000 per year from previous grant cycles!

Each year since 1996, the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids has honored outstanding youth advocates who are leading the way to the first tobacco-free generation.

This year's awards ceremony will take place on May 18, 2023, in Washington, D.C.

Awards will include on Barrie Fiske National Youth Advocate of the Year ($10,000 scholarship), one group winner ($2,500 grant) and four individual winners ($2,500 scholarship each).
