DSHS/DBHR has committed funds to current CPWI communities to administer enhancement services according to an approved program list (included in packet). Contractors shall complete a Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) DMF/DMA Enhancement Funding Packet within 30 days of executed contract and submit to DSHS contact on page 1 of their Contract.
Application Due:
The State of Washington, Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DSHS/DBHR) intends to secure up to twenty (20) contracts with community-based organizations to serve high need communities in Washington State to provide quality and culturally competent replications of evidence-based, research-based and promising substance abuse prevention programs in accordance with RCW 69.50.530. Priority scoring will be given to serve high-need communities. Organizations are encouraged to partner with existing community coalitions and Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) Community Coalitions when possible. DBHR is pleased to announce the availability of funding to support implementation of research-based and promising practices for mental health promotion and suicide prevention. Eligible applicants include community coalitions like Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) coalitions, Drug Free Community Coalitions or suicide prevention coalitions. Additional eligible applicants include community based organizations, Educational Service Districts providing service to youth.

The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DSHS/DBHR) intends to provide Dedicated Marijuana Account (DMA) Prevention Program Training Project funding to current Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) Community Coalitions in Washington State to provide trainings for select* evidence-based, research-based and promising substance abuse prevention programs from the menu below. Trainings must be completed by June 30, 2016.
