We will be relying on the emails associated with your Minerva 1.0 account to link your SAW account to Minerva 2.0. User’s SAW account email must match their Minerva 1.0 email.

The Healthy Youth Survey Planning Committee (HYSPC) is collecting proposals for new questions and survey question revisions to include in HYS 2023. Each proposal should cover a single question, a single scale, or a group of related questions. Proposals are due April 15, 2022. The King County Department of Community and Human Services’ Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (DCHS/ BHRD) used a Washington State Opioid Response (SOR) Grant for project designed to ensure language access to opioid prevention materials. The end result was the translation of the Stop Opioid Overdose brochure and Starts With One campaign materials into 22 different languages. An overview of this project is attached.

CADCA has spaces available for their upcoming National Coalition Academies, and they are hosting it in-person in Bellevue. Attendance may be either in-person or virtual, and the first sessions start in March.

This comprehensive coalition training that teaches leaders ‘“what they need to know” (core competencies) and “what their team needs to do” (the essential processes) to establish or maintain a highly effective anti-drug coalition.” This academy is a year-long process where… read more

The NFF surveyed families last year in an effort to understand the challenges they were facing during COVID. Their answers provided critical information about how the pandemic was affecting them and their children in terms of academic progress, mental and behavioral health, and more and spawned a two-part webinar series by SAMHSA.

On February 11, President Biden proclaimed February as National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month.

The proclamation highlighted new resources and programs for communities to prevent and address teen dating violence. The President also cited Title IX protections for students based on gender identity and sexual orientation to support transgender students who experience higher rates of violence.
