ESD 113, in partnership with the Washington State Healthcare Authority, is offering a two-part training series called "Growing the positive in your community." This training series is led by the Montana Institute and is an introduction to the science of positive community norms. Explore, discuss, practice, and reflect on integrating positive norms into your messages and communications surrounding attitudes and behaviors among youth around substance use.
Part one: Introductory training
Part one will provide foundational information on positive prevention frameworks and prepare you for the June 10, on-site workshop.
Part two: In-person workshop
Part two dives into the application of positive community norms to increase healthy attitudes and behaviors among youth around substance use. This interactive workshop builds skills and an understanding of positive community norms' implementation and impact. This workshop will be held at ESD 113, located at 6005 Tyee Dr SW, Tumwater, WA 98512. Please note, you are not required to have attended part one to attend part two.
