Webinar: National Indian Health Board ACEs discussion: Exploring ACEs

The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is hosting a series of discussion groups on adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Many Tribal individuals, families, and communities have been impacted by ACEs causing physical and mental health adversities throughout the lifespan. ACEs have been linked to risky health behaviors, chronic health conditions, low life potential, mental health and poor behavioral health outcomes, and early death. As the number of ACEs increases, so does the risk for these outcomes.

The purpose of the discussion groups is to gather feedback from behavioral health workers and relevant stakeholders on their experiences and opinions on what types of ACEs tools would be valuable to their work, how best to host and share those tools, barriers and gaps to addressing ACEs in their communities, as well other ACEs needs. Input from the discussion groups will be used to inform materials developed and outreach by NIHB regarding ACEs tools.

It is recommended that you register and attend each session as the conversations will build upon one another and will help to ensure we have a robust and worthwhile discussion. However, you are welcome to join any session.
