Tribal public health data modernization learning community

The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) is pleased to announce the second session in the tribal public health data modernization learning community. This session will focus on tribal public health authority and its basis for public health data sharing between tribes and other public health authorities at the federal, state, and local levels. The presenters of this session will be Carrie Field, senior policy analyst at NIHB, and Pamela Gutman, Cherokee citizen and a public health administrator of the Monitoring, Surveillance, and Evaluation Department for Cherokee Nation Public Health.

This session will provide an avenue for tribes and tribal health organizations to learn, engage and ask questions about issues related to tribal public health authority and issues related to data sovereignty. If you have any questions, please email Sophie Sembajwe, disease surveillance program coordinator.
