National Tribal Opioid Summit

Join the National Indian Health Board (NIHB) and the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board for the National Tribal Opioid Summit, to be held August 22-24, 2023, at the Tulalip Resort in Tulalip, Washington.

The summit will provide an unprecedented opportunity of national scope for tribal nations and communities to share stories, build strength, and collaborate to address the opioid crisis. This inaugural summit will provide dedicated space to addressing the fentanyl crisis with a tribally driven agenda.

National Indian Child Welfare Association's 42nd Annual Protecting Our Children Conference

Each year,National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) hosts the largest national gathering on American Indian and Alaska Native (AI/AN) child advocacy issues. With over 1,600 attendeesand growing every yearthis three-day conference has become the premiere national event addressing tribal child welfare and well-being. Keynote speakers range from federal officials at the highest level of government to youth with lived experience in child welfare systems.

Mason County Prevention Summit

The goal of the Mason County Prevention Summit is to provide an enriching training on prevention strategies, networking and resource sharing opportunities for youth, volunteers, and professional working toward prevention substance abuse, violence, tobacco/vaping and other destructive behaviors. Focus will be on promoting the social determinants of health and ways to integrate prevention efforts within communities in Mason County.

IN PERSON SAPST: SPF Application for Prevention Success Training: Grounded in current research and SAMHSA's Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF), this training will provide foundational knowledge and skills necessary to understand and implement effective, data-driven prevention interventions that improve outcomes. This training is foundational to all substance use prevention work in WA State and around the Nation.

IECMH Community Networking - Salish Region

As part of the infant-early childhood mental health statewide tour, the HCA, the Port Gamble S'Klallam Tribe, and the Peninsula Early Childhood Coalition are hosting an informal community networking event open to any organization that supports families of young children (prenatal through age six) eligible for Apple Health. These networking session is space to learn about available resources for early childhood mental health and connect with partners in your community.
