Study confirms link between daily, high potency marijuana use and psychosis

A new study published in the Lancet Psychiatry Journal is the first to show the impact of marijuana use on population rates of psychosis. Daily marijuana users are three times more likely to have a diagnosis of first episode psychosis; rises to five times more likely with high potency marijuana. Read more here.

Marijuana prevention capacity-building survey for Washington Poison Control

The Washington Poison Control (WAPC) is developing a Training of Trainers curriculum related to cannabis/marijuana. 

To help inform the curriculum content, WAPC would like to know what you would like to see in a cannabis Training of Trainers. The survey should take between 5 and 10 minutes to complete.

The survey closes January 25th.

When it comes to driving under the influence of both cannabis and alcohol, most Washingtonians do not believe it is safe and do not engage in this behavior.  That’s according to a new study of Washington’s traffic safety culture, commissioned by the Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC).  The study explores the values, beliefs and behaviors regarding driving under the influence of alcohol and cannabis (DUICA).
