Program or Strategy Description

Too Good For Drugs is a school-based prevention program that builds students confidence, decision-making, and resistance to risky behaviors from kindergarten through high school. Each level is tailored to students' developmental needs with interactive lessons that promote healthy choices and prevent substance abuse.

  • Elementary (K-5): Focuses on making healthy choices, managing mistakes, and resisting peer pressure. Introduces safe use of medicine and age-appropriate discussions about nicotine, alcohol and marijuana.
  • Middle School (6-8): Strengthens decision - making, communication, and emotion management while addressing peer pressure, media influence, and addiction. Covers the effects of alcohol, nicotine, marijuana, and other substances.
  • High School (9-12): Prepares teens for real-world challenges by building self-awareness, social skills, and healthy coping strategies. Explores prescription drug safety, substance risks, and relationships.

Across all grades, students learn skills to set goals, resist peer pressure, and live healthy, drug-free lives.
