Opportunity for Program Evaluation Technical Assistance and Education

We need your help identifying programs from Washington State to nominate for Service to Science.

Do you know of an innovative program (or evidence-based program adapted for specific populations) that has built its practice on experience, creativity, and responsiveness to the substance abuse prevention and related mental health needs of a community; serves populations that are disproportionately affected by substance abuse; and was developed with input from the target audience? These are some of the program qualities that could contribute to eligibility to participate in the Service to Science academies. Please see the attached announcement and guide to learn more

We have an opportunity to submit up to 5 nominations for the National 2013 Service to Science Initiative. This program is supported by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, and implemented by the Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT), pending the availability of FY2013 funds. The CAPT will contact the programs that we nominate to complete an application narrative.

Please email julia.greeson@dshs.wa.gov with your program suggestion(s) by Friday, June 29th with the following information: Program name, program contact person, phone number, email and mailing address.
