Strategic Planning: Introduction to prevention science: Risk & protective factor theory
This training is part of the comprehensive CPWI Strategic Planning Series.
This course provides a foundational understanding of prevention science through the lens of risk and protective factor theory. Participants will explore how individual, family, school, and community factors contribute to substance use and behavioral health outcomes. The session highlights how to apply this framework to prevention planning, helping coalitions select strategies that strengthen protective factors and reduce risk across their communities.
Required for HCA Staff and Coordinators unless otherwise approved by HCA prevention manager. Attendance is encouraged regardless of experience.
