Guiding Good Choices and Guiando Buenas Decisiones (GGC, GBD)

Training is available in English and Spanish for initial (new facilitators) and recertification (holds initial certification).

To receive full certification, participants are expected to attend all the scheduled training dates and times for their registered event.

The training will included:

  • a thorough introduction to GGC and evidence supporting its effectives addressing risk factors and promoting protective factors
  • professional development for how to facilitate GGC,
  • facilitating participant’s learning of the development and benefits of the Social Development Strategy–the foundation of the evidence-based prevention program for parents of youth in middle childhood,
  • will provide participants with opportunities to explore and discuss options for both virtual and in-person delivery.

Registration is required. The training is open to the first 16 people who register. A waiting list will be developed if needed based on registration numbers. If registration numbers fall below 6 (minimum number need to do the required group work), the training will be rescheduled and registered participants will be notified.

Dual Certification for English and Spanish Delivery of Program. Training will be delivered for bilingual and monolingual participants (English/Spanish).
