Strong community engagement lies at the heart of every successful prevention initiative. Building authentic relationships with diverse sectors and community members can increase participation and satisfaction, while also expanding support and strengthening sustainability.
Join us as we explore the principles, values, and practices that define effective community engagement. Dr. Brett Maricque, Assistant Professor of Genetics at the McDonnell Genome Institute at Washington University School of Medicine, will share how lived experiences shape community-based research and shape authentic collaboration. CADCA Trainer Kristina Clark will also share practical ways that coalitions can apply these principles into their work.
