Welcome to the new The Athena Forum website!

Over the past year, the Washington State Health Care Authority's (HCA) Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) prevention staff have been working hard behind the scenes to update The Athena Forum website. We are excited to announce the launch of the new site on Monday, October 28. Thank you to all those who contributed to the new site by providing their time, sharing feedback, and offering suggestions.

Improvements to the website were centered around equity, accessibility, and functionality, and intended to improve users' experience with the website. Key changes include:

  • New logo and imagery: The updated website includes the new logo and background image selected by HCA's DBHR prevention providers and staff at this year's Coalition Leadership Institute.
  • Updated website design and layout: The new site features a simplified layout and design elements to improve readability and accessibility.
  • Content translation: Users now have the option to translate website content into 13 languages, including Spanish.
  • Improved search function: The website's new search feature has the ability to search the text of documents for entered terms. Search results are ordered by best match and will continue to improve over time, displaying the most frequently accessed items first.
  • Increased filtering options: The community library and training and events calendar now include filtering options to more efficiently help you find information and documents.

Although the new site is live, we are still in the process of reviewing and making changes to the content and website. Please note, the process to add new content (announcements, training events, job opportunities, etc.) has also changed - stay tuned for more information and step-by-step instructions! If you're unable to find or access needed information or documents or need support adding new content, please email the Athena team with your prevention manager copied (if applicable).
