HCA's Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery has identified funding to provide financial support for prevention partners to attend one or both of these conferences:
- The 2022 Society for Prevention Research’s Realizing the Power of Prevention through Equitable Dissemination & Implementation Science held in person only at the Hyatt Regency Seattle, Seattle, WA. May 31 – June 3, 2022. Early Bird registration deadline is May 22.
The SPR Annual Meeting provides a unique opportunity to advance this vision by providing a centrally integrated forum for the exchange of new concepts, methods, and results from prevention research and related public health fields; and by providing a forum for the communication between scientists, public policy leaders and practitioners concerning the implementation of evidence-based preventive interventions in all areas of public health. - CADCA’s Mid-Year Training Institute (held in person at the Gaylord Palms, Orlando, FL July 17 – 21, 2022. Early Bird registration deadline is June 13.
CADCA’s Mid-Year Training Institute offers in-depth, interactive training sessions geared specifically for community coalition leaders and staff. From fundamentals of coalition building and strategic planning to evaluation and research, you will walk away motivated and inspired.
Scholarship applications are due by April 20, 2022. Requests will be reviewed with your Prevention System Manager and reviewed with other trainings and activities in your approved budgets.
The conferences are open to CPWI, CBO, and Tribes. Only registration costs can be covered by these scholarships. You will need to use other funds to cover expenses such as travel and per diem.
