It's time for the annual poison prevention poster contest!
Mr. Yuk, the Washington Poison Center, and Seattle Children’s Hospital invite students grades Kindergarten through 6th to participate in the 17th annual poison prevention poster contest. This year’s theme is “Where is Mr. Yuk Stuck?”
The annual poison prevention poster contest asks Washington kids to consider how to use Mr. Yuk to keep people safe from harmful substances. The winning artwork will be transformed into a poster that the Washington Poison Center distributes statewide for National Poison Prevention Week, March 19-25, 2023.
Contest schedule:
- Contest Kick Off: Tuesday, January 17, 2023
- Last day to submit: Friday, February 10, 2023
- Winner announced: Tuesday, March 14, 2023
The winner will receive:
- A Samsung Galaxy Tablet
- A party for their classroom, with a special visit from the one and only Mr. Yuk
- A visit with their local state representatives
- Artwork featured on the Washington Poison Center’s website, social media, and in a press release
- Artwork included in a poster and media packages for organizations across Washington state
