The National Indian Health Board (NIHB) invites Tribal leaders, health and public health professionals, policy specialists, advocates, and allies to submit workshop proposals for the 2023 National Tribal Health Conference on May 1-5, 2023.

The National Tribal Health Conference (NTHC) welcomes proposals that (1) advance Tribal public health and health equity for American Indians and Alaska Natives; (2) use a Tribal lens and come from a perspective of Indigenous identity; and (3) are action-oriented. In addition, our workshop proposal selection process will prioritize proposals featuring diverse identities and perspectives, so please highlight any that apply in your proposal.

This year’s conference will focus on the following five content areas:

  • Mind
  • Body
  • Spirit
  • Community
  • Advocacy

The submission deadline for workshop proposals is Friday, March 10, 2023.

Visit the workshop proposal webpage for more information and to apply!

NTHC is a weeklong event that showcases the interconnectedness of Indian health care, public health, and health policy. In past years, NIHB has welcomed more than 1,000 conference participants, including elected Tribal leaders, health directors, administrators, health care consumers, policy experts, public health professionals, and Tribal citizens. The Conference provides a forum for participants to engage in critical conversations around policy, advocacy, equity, health care delivery, and public, behavioral, and environmental health.
