The Washington Association for Substance misuse And Violence Prevention (WASAVP) is presenting a training on Tuesday, September 24, at 1:30 p.m., called “What preventionists need to know about cannabinoids.”

Please register for this highly informative training and encourage those you work with to register for the training as well. The total registration cost is $108.55 (including $8.55 in EventBrite fees). 

All participants who complete the webinar will receive a certificate of completion showing two continuing education hours (CEHs). This training has also been submitted to the state’s prevention certification board to be approved for two drug education CEHs.

The facilitator/trainer is Steven Freng, Psy.D., MSW, CEO, Community Network Services.

The training will cover the following topics:

  • The history and cultural contexts of cannabis use.
  • Data regarding current incidence and youth and adult prevalence of use.
  • The effects, impacts, and consequences of cannabis use.
  • Cannabis products, production, and use.
  • Washington State policies addressing cannabis.
  • State, national and global policies regarding cannabis.
