Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is sponsoring the “Behavioral Health Equity Challenge” for CBOs serving diverse racial and ethnic populations. Different than a grant application, CBOs are invited to share innovative outreach and engagement strategies by answering four questions about health equity. Ten winners will each receive $50,000 and opportunities to be recognized.

Washington State is working to create a youth safety and well-being line, available 24/7, 365 days a year, to address a spectrum of youth safety and well-being concerns and connect youth with appropriate resources.

The agency was awarded ongoing funding to rebuild the commercial tobacco prevention and cessation program, and are in the process of developing a spending plan. A draft spending plan is available for review and your feedback will be accepted through June 20, 2023. A final feedback discussion will be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 12 – 1 pm PST, hosted by Washington Breathes. The plan will be finalized by July 2, 2023.
