US sales restrictions on flavored tobacco products map
The Public Health Law Center has published a new map and resources providing select examples of U.S. states, cities, and counties that restrict the sale of flavored tobacco products. For local jurisdictions, it focuses on those with a population over 75,000. The map and dataset summarize whether state and local tobacco flavor restrictions policies (1) cover the entire jurisdiction, (2) prohibit menthol, (3) restrict flavors in all tobacco products, and (4) include exemptions for certain retailers. Select a state on the map below to view these details.
The interactive map is updated regularly, and color coded to demonstrate which states have tobacco flavor laws/ or policies in place.
