Overdose in action funding opportunity!

The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) has been awarded the Overdose Data to Action in States Cooperative Agreement through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Five to seven eligible community-based organizations will receive funding to implement the following prevention strategies:

  • Clinician/health system engagement
  • Public safety partnerships/interventions
  • Harm reduction
  • Community based linkages to care 
The estimated funding amount per grantee for the first two years is $64,943 to $90,920 per year, excluding a one-time enhancement opportunity (up to an additional $50,000 per grantee selected) in the first year. The estimated funding amount per grantee for the last two years of funding is $45,895 to $64,253 per year.
 
Applications are due October 15, 2024. The anticipated budget period for the grant is November 20, 2024, through August 31, 2025, with the possibility of annual renewal for up to 3 years.
