Applications now open for ArtsWA's tribal cultural affairs program
In 2023, Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) received funding to support tribal communities’ arts and culture. This funding may be used for arts and/or cultural-related activities. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Expansion of cultural teachings within a community
- Support of an individual community member's art practice
- Purchase of supplies
- Support for creative economy entrepreneurial opportunities for tribal members or groups
Each tribe may submit one application, but the application may support several projects.
The current maximum funding amount per application is $18,000. However, any funding not requested by the closing date will be reallocated as additional funding to those that applied.
Applications are due Wednesday, February 28. Visit ArtsWA's community investments page to learn more and apply!
