The registration for the 2023 Prevention Summit & annual prevention provider meeting has launched!

What is the Prevention Summit?

The Prevention Summit is an enriching training and networking opportunity for youth, volunteers, and professionals engaged in health promotion and the prevention of substance misuse, violence, and other high-risk behaviors, in a setting that promotes cultural humility. The Summit provides high-quality workshops, forums, and hands-on learning opportunities designed to meet a variety of needs, including professional development for youth and prevention professionals.

This year's summit will be held at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, WA, on October 24-25. To learn more about the summit and register, visit the event website.

What is the annual provider meeting?

The annual prevention provider meeting is an invite-only, pre-conference day to the Prevention Summit for Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) prevention providers and partner agencies. This is required for Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) and community-based organization (CBO) coordinators and/or other program staff. Tribal representatives are encouraged to attend.

This year’s prevention provider meeting will be held at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, WA, on Monday, October 23. To learn more about the prevention provider meeting and register, visit the event page.

The Summit and provider meeting will be held in-person only and attendance at both events is required for CPWI and CBO coordinators and/or other program staff. If you have any questions about attendance, please contact your prevention manager.

Please note, if you plan to attend the summit and provider meeting, you will need to register twice.
