Tribal Opioid Crisis Grants [posted 5/7/18]

DBHR is pleased to announced a funding opportunity for federally recognized Tribes in WA State to address the opioid crisis. This funding opportunity is a pilot project to support the expansion of prevention and treatment programming focused on opioid use disorders.  This funding will not go through contract consolidation, but will be direct contracts with Tribes interested in accessing these funds.  Funding period is July 1, 2018 – June 30, 2019.

Each Tribe may request up to $50,000 to support either Opioid prevention, treatment or combination of both programming in their communities. Due to timing limitations, a short grant form to request the funds is due by May 25, 2018.  Please submit form to tribalreports@dshs.wa.gov

Please contact Cheryl Wilcox, Tribal Wellness Grants Manager, for questions about the available funds by telephone at 360-725-3743 or by email at wilcocd@dshs.wa.gov.
