We know that substance abuse prevention and suicide prevention often go hand-in-hand. Join us for presentations and discussions with two researchers describing new and hopeful findings from two very different types of prevention studies.

Dr. Jen Bailey will share results of young adults’ (ages 21-39) experiences of mental health variables including suicide ideation and attempts from the longitudinal Seattle Social Development Project.

Dr. Marc Bolan will share process and results of a collaborative study with the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe in Washington State to reduce suicidal behavior and substance use among Native youth (up to age 24).
