Tribal data modernization in public health & healthcare

This webinar is a joint virtual learning event co-hosted by the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) and the National Indian Health Board (NIHB) as part of the HIMSS Native American & Indigenous Community leadership team’s Coffey Chat series led by Comanche Nation citizen Robert Coffey, and NIHB’s Tribal Public Health Data Modernization Learning Community.

Occurring during Native American Heritage Month, this session will highlight data modernization initiatives in Tribal public health and healthcare systems with presentations on the experiences of two Tribal public health departments with varying geographic location, size, infrastructure and resources. 

During the session, speakers will also touch on challenges and successes they have faced within their specific Tribal and regional contexts, providing a learning opportunity and a platform of discussion for Tribes at varying stages of their data modernization journeys.
