Empowerment in action: Crafting a peer resource guide
The Okanogan Youth Leadership Council (YLC) is a diverse group of peer educators from across Okanogan County who address barriers that local teens face in regards to obtaining accurate sexual and mental health information, substance use resources and physical healthcare access. This past year, members designed, informed and distributed a guide with information relevant to the needs of young people in Okanogan County. Join us as YLC members Hayden, Syreni, Dani and Lytzy explain why and how this important resource came to fruition and the value of including youth voices in advocacy work. The YLC is facilitated by The Foundation for Youth Resilience & Engagement in partnership with Room One.
