Core Competencies is a comprehensive curriculum covering the essentials for effective substance misuse prevention. Funding for this initiative came from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Northwest Prevention Technology Transfer Center (NW PTTC). The Introduction to Prevention Core Competencies for Prevention Professionals is a comprehensive and evidence-based course designed to equip early and mid-career prevention professionals with the foundational knowledge needed for effective substance use prevention and prepare for courses like the SAPST and Prevention Ethics.
