DBHR releases two RFAs for prevention services

Washington State Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) Prevention Services Expansion Project RFA #K3054
This project aims to increase capacity to implement direct and environmental substance use prevention services in communities qualified to immediately implement identified evidence-based practices and programs to prevent and reduce the misuse and abuse of alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, opioids, and other drugs. The fifty-eight (58) eligible high-need communities with elevated rates of underage drinking, marijuana use, and youth opioid misuse and abuse are listed on pages 5-6 of the RFA.

State Opioid Response (SOR) community-based grant application
The Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA), Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) intends to award contracts to community-based organizations (CBOs) or public agencies (for example, school districts, law enforcement, counties, and ESDs) to serve communities in Washington State to provide quality and culturally competent replications of evidence-based and research-based substance use prevention programs that focus on reducing the misuse and abuse of opioids.
