DBHR announces free enforcement-focused underage drinking prevention trainings

The key operating theory for this project comes from the research of Harold Holder, Ph.D., who found that youth alcohol consumption declined when their perception of risk of getting caught increased. He found that all law enforcement activity – if properly publicized – helped to increase the perception of risk of getting caught.

There are two webinars directed primarily at coalition coordinators and coalition members and one 1.5 day in-person training directed primarily at law enforcement.

Webinars

November 14, 2013 – Noon – 1:15 PST, Webinar, Alcohol Purchase Surveys. This webinar is largely targeted to coalition coordinators and coalition members. Aidan Moore of the Underage Drinking Enforcement Training Center will present the webinar.

November 15, 2013 – Noon – 1:15 PST, Webinar, Media Advocacy for Law Enforcement. This webinar is intended to show the power of effective media advocacy for law enforcement efforts as well as to highlight ideas and suggestions for how to utilize various forms of media – print, broadcast (radio and televison) and social – to build awareness of law enforcement activities. Mr. Moore will also present the webinar.
