The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) Utah is a parenting and family skills training program for high-risk and general population families, offered in various formats. It includes a 14-week curriculum covering multiple age categories from birth through age 16 and an 11-week curriculum specifically designed for youth ages 7-17, available in both online and in-person formats. SFP Utah is unique in that the whole family attends together and practices new relationship skills in a group setting. SFP Utah is deigned to significantly improve parenting skills and family relationships, reduce child maltreatment, children's problem behaviors, delinquency and alcohol and drug use, and to improve social competencies and school performance. The program is adaptable for families of many different ethnicities and races. All versions of the program are rated as EBP through the PBE review. However, Home-Use DVD version evaluation found this version to be innovative.
