Rural Network Orientation
Wednesday September 15
Online from 1-1:45 p.m. (approximately)
Learn about the goals and purpose of the statewide Rural Network. Meet staff, connect with other new members, and find out what to expect, what projects we work on, and our network approach to this important equity and prevention work.
What is the Rural Network?
Funded by the Deparment of Health Youth Marijuana Prevention & Education Program, the Rural Network empowers coalitions/communities across Washington to implement prevention strategies and reduce youth marijuana use. We also exist to increase collaboration among often isolated, overworked, and under-served rural professionals. All our meetings are held virtually.
Who can attend?
The Rural Network actively seeks to engage small, rural communities across Washington. We hope to serve communities with less than 10,000 people that are at least one hour driving distance to the nearest urban center. However, we also are made up by people who live in urban-centers but serve rural communities, or anyone who self-identifies as rural regardless of where they are situated.
