Webinar: Forefront Suicide Prevention 2021legislative session briefing

-

Forefront is holding two briefing sessions on suicide prevention issues for the 2021 legislative session.

  • Learn how to tell your story to lawmakers during the virtual legislative session.
  • Hear about Forefront's legislative priorities.
  • Both briefings cover the same material, so you only need to register for one.

Legislators are looking to strengthen suicide prevention practices in Washington during the 2021 Legislative Session, and Forefront Suicide Prevention is working to educate them on the issues.

The issues that are under discussion are the creation of a statewide integrated crisis hub and response network in conjunction with the launch of a new 988 number, and the Governor's Challenge to end Veteran suicides in Washington.

An essential part of the legislative process is Washingtonians sharing their stories and their views with lawmakers, whether that's through phone calls, emails, or public testimony in committee meetings.

If you have a story you want to share about suicide prevention during the 2021 legislative session - especially if it relates to the issues that are being looked at in Olympia - please join Forefront to learn more about how you can make sure your voice is heard, especially during a session that will be conducted remotely due to the COVID pandemic.
