Over the past decade, youth vaping has surged to become the most common form of nicotine and cannabis use among teens. Devices are now smaller, more discreet, and more potent than ever, while many students remain unaware of the risks or even the contents of what they’re inhaling.
This session equips educators, intervention specialists, and school staff with the tools to identify vaping devices, understand youth motivations, recognize behavioral warning signs, and respond using evidence-based, compassionate strategies. Participants will leave with the knowledge to train peers in their schools and support student-centered prevention and intervention.
This in-person training is held at the NEWESD 101 Talbott Event Center located at 4202 S. Regal St. Spokane, WA 99223
The Prevention Specialist Certification Board of WA approves this training for two (2) CEHs in the Drug Education/Pharmacology category to be applied for the APP or CPP Certification.
