The Washington State Department of Health’s Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program (YCCTPP) is pleased to announce a request for application to fund one lead organization to facilitate and support the Program’s Practice Collaborative (PC). The funding amount available is $125,000 with an anticipated period of performance of September 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023. Application deadline is Friday, July 22nd, 2022 at 5:00 PM PST.

Attached are the relevant application materials, including the RFA timeline, application guidance, required documentation needed (in PDF and word document format), and the proposed statement of work.

The PC is a community of practice for public health approaches to youth cannabis and commercial tobacco use and dependence prevention in Washington State. Specifically, the lead organization will facilitate regular communication between YCCTPP prevention contractors through multiple channels (e.g., face-to-face meetings, newsletters, conference calls, webinars, password-protected social network platforms) to foster collaboration, create a space of learning, support the integration of commercial tobacco (including vapor products) into the primary functions of the PC, and provide technical assistance to transition the PC to an autonomous, participatory-driven collaborative, with logistic support from YCCTPP staff at DOH.

If you have questions regarding the application, please reach out to the RFA coordinator, Micah Zimmermaker at micah.zimmermaker@doh.wa.gov. Please write “Response to Practice Collaborative-RFA” in the subject line of the email.

Please consider applying for this funding opportunity or share this announcement with partners that may be interested.
