Thank you for an amazing six years: Best wishes, Alicia!
Alicia Hughes, who has been on the Health Care Authority’s Division of Behavioral Health and Recovery (DBHR) prevention team for six years, left her position on Friday, January 5. Alicia has been an invaluable member of the Prevention Section here at DBHR. Her passion for promoting health equity, behavioral health prevention services, and mental health within the field has left an enduring mark on our team and this work. She has played an important role in shaping the development of grants, community services, workforce and strategic initiatives for prevention and promotion services in the state of Washington. As Alicia continues into a new chapter in her life, she will be missed by her colleagues, the agency, and the field. We know Alicia will continue to make an impact wherever she is and wish her success in her future endeavors.
She wanted to share this goodbye message with you all:
"Dear prevention family – I have been working with the DBHR and Community Prevention and Wellness Initiative (CPWI) system since 2017, and it’s been the most rewarding work I could have ever imagined. This work is so important and dear to my heart, and I'm confident I'll be sticking around in this prevention space with you all in some form or fashion. While it's very hard to make the decision to step away, I have hope that our paths will cross in the future! Feel free to find me on LinkedIn to stay connected. Take care all of you prevention rockstars and keep up the amazing work!"
