Assistant Director, Substance Misuse Prevention and Recovery Support
The assistant director is responsible for coordinating support for Central Washington University (CWU) students who are in recovery from substance use disorders or need support with risk reduction related to substance misuse. They also serve multiple functions within the campus and greater community; focusing on the prevention, education, and reporting of issues related to drug misuse and recovery initiatives. This position collaborates with faculty on issues relating to curriculum infusion and assists in classroom instruction as appropriate; represents CWU and the Office of Health Promotion on various community coalitions/organizations and makes commitments that affect departmental operations. They will work closely with the other assistant directors to develop intersectional, high-impact practices across and beyond our campus.
