Pierce County Human Services releases RFPs for Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Partners and Stakeholders, 

Pierce County Human Services has released several Requests for Proposals for behavioral health services, funded by the Pierce County Behavioral Health and Therapeutic Courts Tax. 

We invite qualified organizations to review and apply for the RFPs that align with your services. These RFPs are aligned with the Pierce County Behavioral Health Improvement Plan and the 2.0.2.6-2.0.2.7 behavioral health funding priorities. 

Available RFPs: 

  1. Behavioral Health Peer Services: Seeking proposals from peer-run organizations to deliver peer-led behavioral support services designed and implemented by individuals with lived experience.
    1. The total value of this procurement is $2,000,000.

  2. Services for Justice System-Involved Adults: Seeking proposals to deliver behavioral health services to justice-involved individuals who are not eligible for Medicaid-funded services, aiming to increase access to care at any stage of the Sequential Intercept Model.

  3. Youth Services: Seeking proposals to provide behavioral health services exclusively for youth and young adults (ages 5-24) across the continuum of care.

  4. Outpatient and Community-Based Services: Seeking proposals for outpatient and community-based behavioral health services in accessible, non-institutional settings to support individuals with ongoing or emerging needs.

  5. Shelter, Housing, and Behavioral Health Support Services: Seeking proposals for integrated behavioral health services for individuals or families experiencing homelessness or residing in emergency shelters/transitional housing.

  1. Behavioral Health Wellness, Prevention, and Early Intervention: Seeking proposals for services that strengthen whole-person care, improve access for underserved communities, and prevent behavioral health crises.

Important Note: Proposed projects located in the City of Tacoma and serving only Tacoma residents must receive City of Tacoma funding.
