Guiding Good Choices Training of Workshop Leaders
Guiding Good Choices (GGC) is an evidence-based program for parents/ caregivers of youth ages 9-14. Caregivers learn to strengthen family bonds, improve parent-child communication, healthy conflict management and how to share their own family guidelines at home.
The Center for Communities That Care offers virtual, interactive Workshop Leader Training 6 to 8 times per year. The training schedule and additional information can be found on our training and events page.
This training prepares Workshop Leaders to lead GGC workshops in their community (both in-person and virtually). In addition, they will learn how the curriculum supports families.
The training also covers:
- Keys to success for preventative parenting programs
- Facilitation skills
- The Social Development Strategy
- Risk and protective factor focused prevention
- How to handle difficult questions
- Empowering parents and caregivers to make their own decisions
Cost:
- $855.50 training for each workshop leader
