Supporting students experiencing back-to-school stress: Crisis Text Line’s mental health playbooks
https://www.ihs.gov/telebehavioral/
In 2024, nearly 1 in 4 Crisis Text Line conversations include mention of school-related stress or anxiety. That’s why the national nonprofit released four mental health playbooks designed to help students manage the stress and anxiety of returning to school in age-appropriate ways, from elementary school through college.
This webinar will equip IHS providers with ways to support students through all the different school-related stressors. Attendees will also learn how to effectively share Crisis Text Line’s Mental Health Playbook with the young people they serve.
Objectives:
- Identify common school-related stressors impacting students at various educational levels, as observed in Crisis Text Line conversations.
- Examine age-appropriate mental health strategies from Crisis Text Line's Mental Health Playbooks.
- Effectively convey the concept of Mental Health Playbooks and foster a supportive environment for young people to engage.
