This facilitated course will address the role and application of ethics in substance use disorder prevention. Using case studies and interactive activities, participants will explore the six principles in the Prevention Code of Ethics and learn to use a 4-step decision-making process to assess, address, and evaluate a range of ethical issues. The trainers will incorporate cultural perspectives and scenarios to reflect the values, strengths, and ethical dilemmas faced among AI and AN prevention practitioners and other individuals working primarily in these communities in their daily work.
