Webinar: Youth mental health first aid training

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges and substance use disorders in young people. This training gives you the skills you need to reach out and provide initial support to a young person who may be developing a mental health or substance use issue and help connect them to the appropriate care.

First Aiders will complete a 2-hour self-paced class and then participate in a 5-hour instructor-led class using video conferencing via Zoom.

Participants will be given access to the 2-hour self-paced class two weeks before the training. This is a prerequisite for the 5-hour Zoom training. The self-paced class will need to be completed at least 48 hours before the training.

This training is interactive; please have a microphone and webcam.
