Webinar: Singles also score runs – A trip around the policy ballpark in 90 minutes

Understanding the policy landscape helps you to know where to focus your efforts, from the state to the local level. Given what we know about effective policies that promote public health and safety, how can we assess current and proposed policies and then work for change? And where does that change need to take place? Topics discussed will include preemption, local options, and political will, keeping in mind that small successes can eventually lead to bigger wins.

Presenter: Mary Segawa, M.S has worked in community and statewide ATOD prevention and public policy for 25 years. She currently consults with regulatory, public health, prevention and research agencies and groups across the country to support actions that meet the shared goals of protecting public health and safety.
