Webinar: SAMHSA’s 17th prevention day

Please join SAMHSA for the 17th annual Prevention Day. This FREE day-long virtual event, (done in collaboration with CADCA’s National Leadership Forum), provides an opportunity for communication and networking between prevention practitioners, community leaders, SAMHSA grantees, researchers and consumers in the behavioral health field. As part of Prevention Day, SAMHSA’s leadership will inform participants about SAMHSA’s prevention priorities for the coming year. Other dynamic speakers will discuss evidence-based preventive interventions and findings from the latest developments in the areas of substance use and misuse prevention, treatment, recovery and mental illness.

This year’s event will feature 25 workshops with topics ranging from Best Practices in Community-Level Prevention Impact Reporting to COVID-19 and Prevention: Lessons Learned and Pandemic-Related Adaptations. Prevention Day will also feature SAMHSA’s Prevention Action Center (a virtual exhibit room where you can interact with many of SAMHSA’s latest tools, resources, and materials. You will also discover what’s new with some of SAMHSA’s flagship programs like National Prevention Week; Talk They Hear You, our national underage drinking media campaign; the Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) Network, and our Underage Drinking Prevention Education Program to learn more about how to get involved with “Communities Talk” town hall meetings.
