Outcomes/Objectives

  1. Identify how historical and cultural events can contribute to risk for substance use disorder among American Indian/ Alaska Native youth.
  2. Assess how boarding schools and residential school settings can influence ideas regarding substance youth among American Indian/ Alaska Native youth.
  3. Encourage coping and recovery strategies that draw upon spiritual and cultural strengths for youth who are at risk for substance use disorders.
