Save the dates: New Coordinator Basic Training Series

Save the Dates!

DBHR is planning another series of New Coordinator Basic Training (NCBT) in April 2022.  All new CPWI coalition coordinators, who have not attended a previous NCBT series are strongly encouraged to attend.  New CPWI coalition coordinators are the priority audience for the series. Please email your request to attend to your Prevention Manager.  The series will not be posted on the Athena Training calendar; session invitations will be sent to approved attendees by Martha Williams.

There is no charge for this online training.  Class size is limited to 20 participants. Training content focuses on topics that are the basis of CPWI coalition coordinator responsibilities. CBO staff and Tribal Partners are welcome to attend if space is available.

A continuing education certificate will be sent to attendees when the series is completed; these hours can be applied to the requirements for Certified Prevention Professional status.

It is recommended that attendees attend all five training sessions, as the information provided at one session is built upon in the next session.  The training will occur on the following dates and times:

  • Session 1: Thursday, April 7, 2022, 9 AM – Noon
  • Session 2: Thursday, April 14, 2022, 10 AM – Noon
  • Session 3: Thursday, April 21, 2022, 10 AM – Noon
  • Session 4: Tuesday, April 26, 2022, 10 AM – Noon
  • Session 5: Thursday, April 28, 2022, 10 AM –Noon

Please note that Session 4 is on a Tuesday and two training sessions will take place in that final week of April.

A second NCBT series is tentatively planned for the June/July 2022 timeframe.
