Community Resilience Initiative: Course 4 Trauma-informed training of trainers

*** Important: Course 1 is prerequisite for Course 4.

This online 2 Part [3 hours per part] Course will be held via Zoom over the course of two days. April 6 and April 8, 2021.  9:00am to 12:00pm (PST) each day.

How do we create a community-wide response to trauma? While individual resilience is certainly important, a community-wide focus on resilience across all domains in which we live our lives is what creates stronger outcomes. Using a living systems model of the salmon life cycle, this training parallels 8 stages of organizational development toward trauma-informed practices. Learn how you can act as a critical indicator species to effect change in your community. Let us help you shape or strengthen your community’s plan for moving to a more resilient community, one based on help, hope and healing. *Course 1 is a prerequisite for this course.

Objectives - Participants will apply adapted versions of CRI’s KISS, FALSE and ROLES concepts in order to assess the health and needs of their own communities. They will develop a timeline for community engagement built on SMART goals.  Finally, participants will explore the importance of Hope in building community resilience and creating a blueprint for organizational vision, mission and long-term stability.
