Coalition training: CADCA National Coalition Academy

CADCA has spaces available for their upcoming National Coalition Academies, and they are hosting it in-person in Bellevue. Attendance may be either in-person or virtual, and the first sessions start in March.

This comprehensive coalition training that teaches leaders ‘“what they need to know” (core competencies) and “what their team needs to do” (the essential processes) to establish or maintain a highly effective anti-drug coalition.” This academy is a year-long process where coalitions will work on developing five essential products: 1) a community assessment, 2) a logic model, 3) a strategic & action plan, 4) an evaluation plan and 5) a sustainability plan.

Requirements:

  • Attendees are coalition members
  • Each coalition must have a two-person team and attend all 3 weeks
  • One person must remain for all 3 weeks. The other can change

The academy is free, but coalition members are responsible for travel and lodging. The coalition must be willing to make the commitment to this year-long process. Priority is given to DFC communities, but registration will open shortly for others.
